Another update:

Single image, but hopefully this will go to show both what it will look like, and any changes that have been made since the last one

More than likely, the parts seen attached will not be used in the final version and will be replaced with higher resolution ones.
Comments and suggestions more than welcome!

As the new dreadnought kit arrived today, I had to test out the sizing of the parts, Also created a moc up on photoshop of what it may look like.

That being said, it's not my favorite look...some redesign may be necessary

To anyone out there, comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Hey all,

Another update on the Dreadnought project! Not a giant one, but I've got the leg assembly done. Pics below
Comparison between the arm and leg

Front

And Back

Again, the idea is to put "armor plating" (cut styrene) around the hexagonal platforms in the middle. The final product will at least appear bigger than it does in skeleton form.

Update:

Really quickly, here is the idea behind the Arm/shoulder shown yesterday.
While this is a fairly rough sketch, I think it shows the basic idea. The "plan" (in parentheses because who knows what'll happen) is to use GW's dreadnought torso, hand, and feet in combination with 3D printed arms, legs and powerplant. Weapons will probably be some combination.

Also to note, the hexagonal plates shown in the middle of the arms below are there to be used as a base to mount the armor panels shown in the sketch. Hopefully this will also help to break up the low quality of the 3D printed arms.
I'll post the 3D designs for the legs and lower torso as soon as they're done, more updates to follow.

Thanks for viewing!

Hello all *two of you*

To add a somewhat different aspect to the blog, and in part because school's started back up, I've started a different project, this time...A DREADNOUGHT!

This will hopefully take the shape of a completed model soon, but for now here's a sneak peak of a prototype arm and shoulder.

Yes, these are 3D printed, and quality rather lacking. It is, however, a project.
As soon as I can find the sketchbook, I will post up where I believe this one is going.

Also hopefully I'll have more  Pics of the Super-Heavy soon as well!

Thanks for looking

So after what has been a 2 year hiatus from this blog, a time during which Games Workshop has discontinued the paint color for which this blog was named, I HAVE RETURNED.

Meanwhile the tank itself has gone through several evolutions, up until the bottom pic, which is unfortunately the best picture I have right now.

The first pic is its new frontal gun, which I designed and had 3D printed as a test project. I think it came out alright haha.

Hopefully more updates will follow in a more timely manner. To anyone out there, thanks for viewing!

Hey readers, (all 2 of you...)

Its been a while. Life's been busy. In the grand scheme of things though, progress has been made. The front plate assembly thing is basically done. All it needs is a few bits to break up the space. I also sketched what the sides will sort of look like. Looking at other SM vehicles, the current sides are too plain for something this big. Actually just plain in general. Anyway here are the pics, enjoy!

Here's the sketch, note that the turret doesn't sit as tall as shown.

As always, comments, suggestions and random thoughts are accepted, Thanks for viewing.
